Crusade Biz(ness) - List of Crusaders + Our Very Own Crusader Badge + Other Stuff

Well, the magic number of Crusaders is finally decided, and (after a couple of adjustments for duplicated entries) we've come out at...wait for it...212. Woot! That is sooooo exciting, we're going to have one awesome Crusade!!!

List of Crusaders

I've put together the List of Crusaders, yay! Pop up to the top of my blog when you have a sec, and double-check to make sure the links and info about you are correct (I haven't had time to check them all sorry). Let me know asap if I need to make any changes.

Have fun meeting and following everyone!

BTW, I've had a couple of people ask about following those who use WordPress. For those who don't have Google Friend Connect on their blogs, is it possible to add an RSS feed link to your blogs so we can all subscribe in that way rather than having to subscribe by email?

Crusader Groups

I've made good headway dividing the Crusaders in Groups, and I'll be publishing them on a separate page to make things easier. List should go up in the next day or so. I'll publish it in draft form first, as I imagine some adjustments will need to be made - please check the group(s) I've put you in and let me know if you want any changes made (it's no problems at all, I've had to guess quite a bit). I'll put some notes at the top of the page for the first week or so, for Crusaders to consider.

Our Very Own Crusader Badge (woot!)

With huge thanks and heaps of hugs to the lovely JYS over at A Writerly Pensheep, we now have our very own "I'm a Crusader" Badge. Hope you like it :)

First Crusader Challenge (this Friday)

We've got some pretty awesome prizes, one of which may or may not involve a critique! Just sayin' *grins*

Twitter Hashtag

For those of you on Twitter, we've started using the hashtag #amcrusading

211? Oh my, this is going to be big. I'm so glad I found this.

Rach, *big gulp* how on earth did you get that many people signed up? Golly, I'm seriously worried about how you're going to cope. You'll have to delegate fearless leader.

I love the badge! What a talent JYS is. Can't wait to get back and paste it on my blog.

Looking forward to the comps.

Once again, congrats on getting this off the ground. Please don't feel you have to reply to this comment. Just email me if you need more help.

Denise:)

Somebody help me, please - I want to put the Google friends connect thing on my blog but it's saying I have to put html code in somewhere and I have no idea where! I have a wordpress blog and I really don't know anything about code... *hangs head in non-techie shame*

But...am not sure if these will work for your blog since it's WordPress.com. Sorry I can't help more, has anyone worked out how to add GFC???

And I don't know how to do the RSS feed either - it wants a URL and I don't know what URL to put there

I'll get the new badge up!

@Rachael The second link was fine until we got to the bit where I followed the instructions and they didn't work! Thanks for the suggestions though :)

Snagging the Crusader Badge, which rocks, BTW. For those who use Wordpress, it's possible to use the Networked Blogs widget to keep track of followers.

That's a lot of Crusaders! That many people is a force to be reckoned with, which would make you a force to be reckoned with as well! Go you!!

If you're on FB (and not Blogger or Friend Connect), you can also use the NetworkedBlogs app to add a follower widget!

Oh, and it's easy to find the RSS URL for a WordPress blog: it's http://www.url.com/feed/ (or, say, http://www.rxample.com/wordpress/feed/).

I'm so excited! I finished working on my blog, found a way to put an RSS feed button on (so you don't have to sign up by email!) and put that beautiful(!) graphic up on my sidebar :)

Good luck admining this whole process! I can't wait to meet my groupies :)

hi everyone - getting exciting isn't it - however a) if my blog is a goggle blog do I already have this friend connect thingy or do I need to find one?
b) to get the badge do I just copy and paste the badge or do I need the html code for it ( also do these badges connect to anything or just show what we belong to?

Erin said...

I like the badge and I think I have an idea how to add it to Blogger, but where is the html code for the badge? Help, someone?

Rachael Harrie said...

To add the badge to Blogger, right click on it and save it to your computer. Then go to "Add a Gadget" in the "Design" part of your blog, and click on "Add a Picture". Then browse your computer for the picture you want, and click on the badge you saved earlier. The URL link to link the badge to is my Writers' Platform-Building Crusade Page up the top of Rach Writes... Email me if you need more help :)

Hugs,

Rach

Fabulous badge! Well done with the amazingly time consuming work you've put into this. I'm proud to be a part of this and looking forward to a fantastic crusade.

I've still got lots more people to visit :-)

Happy Valentine's Day

Margo Benson said...

Oh wow! Thank you for all the wonderful work and time you're putting into this - 212!!

I'm trying my best to meet as many as possible, a huge, but fun task :-)

The badge is gorgeous and I've popped it up on my blog.

Hope you can relax a little....chocolate? Coffee?

Len Lambert said...

Woot! I love the badge! Thank you, Rach, for all the effort! It's a success! :)

Rachael Harrie said...

I think *crosses fingers* that I've fixed most of the links. Let me know if any are still broken.

Hugs,

Rach

Margo Kelly said...

Rachael - I'm confused about the "groups" -- are these designated, or are they just based on the genre we write? Thanks!

Anonymous said...

This is super awesome!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Holy smokes! That many crusaders? Heh heh, good job! If you want to get a little more specific for my grouping, I'd fit under paranormal, a bit of romance, and sometimes horror. Just for a bit of variety. ;D

But honestly, good job getting so many participants! I'm sure it's beyond what you expected.

Trisha said...

that is HEAPS of Crusaders. Yay!! :D

And that badge is SO PRETTY!!

Unknown said...

Oh. My. Freakin. GOSH! I copied the list of crusaders into a Word doc so I can print it out and manually (yes, I like to see my own handwriting occasionally!) tick off each one when I've followed, and it took SEVEN PAGES! And then after adjusting margins and reducing font size it still takes FOUR PAGES!

You are clearly made of awesomeness for organising this whole thing :-)

*hugs*

PS. That badge is made of awesomeness too :-) Puts my amateur design skills to shame!

Carrie said...

Yay! Thanks, Rach!

Tessa Quin said...

Oh my goodness! That badge looks AMAZING! *Yoink*

Charlotte Rains Dixon said...

Awesome! I can't imagine how much work this is for you, Rachel, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Theresa Milstein said...

Awesome badge. I'm adding it right now!

When I'm on winter break, I'm going to be a better fellow crusader.

Susan Fields said...

I just checked my link and got my badge. Thanks again for all you do. I know it must be an overwhelming amount of work, and it's so appreciated!

Adina West said...

I've been seeing the badge everywhere already! Will go and add it to my sidebar now...

Erin said...

This is going to be awesome. I would like to request that I have YA (science fiction and dystopian). I do believe science fiction is only on there for me. I'm number 130 on the list, if that helps. :D
